GEELONG young gun Steven Motlop is focused on piling on the weight in a bid to get stronger following a break out season.
Motlop, 19, plagued by shoulder injuries, played all but one game last year earning himself a Rising Star nomination in Round 6.
"The body's going well and I haven't missed a session this year, going well," Motlop told SEN radio this morning.
"Playing 22 games is tough on your body; I haven't done that for a while because I've been injured."
The flighty forward weighs in at about 80kg - two kilograms shy of his target. He played at 78kg last year.
Motlop said playmaker Travis Varcoe was one of the club's best pre-season performers.
"He's flying, it's good to have him flying this time of year," Motlop said.

Varcoe was restricted to just one game in 2012 after persistent foot problems.
Motlop said luckless forward Daniel Menzel's rehabilitation was on track while Cats recruits Hamish McIntosh and Jared Rivers had made their presence felt.
"I think (Menzel) is probably eight weeks away from running," he said.
